Midnight Potter Studios LLC dba Clay Art Space is run by volunteers & employees who love art, making pottery, and want to support a shared space. They are excited to be working in an art studio and are helping to further the mission of Clay Art Space. These capable people are an awesome addition to the studio and we look forward to their contributions to our growth and furthering our mission with their support.
Jenny Ditto, Instructor Professional potter, Jenny Ditto, aka the Midnight Potter, teaches wheel throwing on the potter's wheel. She has over 40 years of clay work experience and 25 years teaching wheel classes. Her life goal is to create an art center in Anchorage for Clay, Glass, & Metal mediums with other dedicated community minded people. Please contact her if you are interested in the same idea.
Jenny has developed a quick-study method to teach you how to throw on a potter's wheel. Within 1 - 6 hours of her detailed guidance, you'll be centering and throwing. (Not a guarantee for everyone. Some learn much quicker than others.) On your own, learning to throw can takes months to years to achieve. Jenny enjoys cooking with the pottery vessels she makes and dining with hand made pottery at home. She does bookkeeping by day and pottery classes by night.
