Drawing Classes for Home School & School at Home 2020-2021
We are excited to offer beginning to advanced drawing classes for elementary, middle and high school age kids in home school programs or attending school at home for 2020-2021. Class sizes are small to maintain 6 ft of social distancing in the studio. Masks are required while attending class.
DRAWING 101 & 102 for Elementary students
What kids try in the Elementary beginner or intermediate classes:
DRAWING 201 for Middle & High School students
What kids try in the Middle & High School beginner to advanced classes:
Students will need their own supplies to work with. The studio sells sketchbooks, kneaded erasers, and pencil sharpeners, but pencils will need to be purchased at Blaine's, Michaels or other outlets.
DRAWING 101 & 102 for Elementary students
What kids try in the Elementary beginner or intermediate classes:
- 4 common drawing techniques: Patterns, shading, crosshatch, and stipple
- Develop common shapes into objects
- Work with caricature and comics
- Learning about the color wheel and using color in drawings
- Composition of objects
DRAWING 201 for Middle & High School students
What kids try in the Middle & High School beginner to advanced classes:
- A refresher on the four common techniques. Patterns, shading, crosshatch, and stipple
- Developing 3-dimensional shapes to create objects
- Drawing still life settings
- Perspective drawing
- Preparing for presentations and constructive feedback of work for further development and growth
