Fall Semester 2023: Clay Class for Kids & Teens Ages 8-17
Wheel Throwing Classes - Monthly
Students learn the basics of working with clay on the potter's wheel. This class meets two days a week for 4 weeks. Our month-long class provides 60 hours toward your art requirements. It combines in-class and outside homework to reach the required hours.
Hand Building Classes - Monthly
Students learn the basics of working with clay using hand building methods. This class meets one day a week for 4 weeks. Our month-long class provides 30 hours toward your art requirements. It combines in-class and outside homework to reach the required hours.

Combination Clay Class
Students learn basic hand building and wheel thrown techniques in this 2 day class. Day 1:

Polymer Clay Sculpture Class
Not available right now. Build a sculpture with polymer clay then paint in the details. Learn to draw your idea, build a wire armature, sculpt with polymer clay, then paint the figure. Learn by making a small item using the techniques presented. Bring a picture of your favorite icon, hero or character to get started. You will need to bring a sketchbook and pencil. Class provides 10 hours of instructions, wood base, wire armature, neutral polymer clay, and paint. |
Polymer Clay Jewelry Classes
Not Available right now. Get started working with poly clay. Learn a few basic techniques. Join us for a one hour adventure with poly clay. We'll be using a gray, black, or beige single color to make a small item. After the items is baked, you can take it home to apply acrylic paint. Small items can become jewelry, earrings, D & D Characters, zipper pulls and other cool stuff. |
