Home School Polymer Clay Class (Ages 13 - 17)
In this class students (age 13 -17) learn the basics of polymer clay sculpture techniques. A neutral color of clay is used to build a sculpture or figure over an armature. Over the course of 4 weeks, the process will be presented step by step. Some work will need to be done at home between classes.
This class is 4 weeks long and meets on Thursday from 3 pm-5 pm.
- To design & draw your idea
- Build a base and wire armature appx 2" - 6" area
- Sculpt with polymer clay (with size limitations)
- Paint the product in class. If not completed in class, the student is responsible for finishing their piece at home with their own paint & brushes. (We will not be supplying paint to take home.)
Students get to keep their sculpture. Students will need to provide a sketchbook and pencils on the first day of class. Provided materials include the base, wire, polymer clay, and paint for a small sculpture or figure under 6".
10 hours of instruction with materials provided for $395.
